P08/09.50Planning Minutes 08/07/08 Minutes. RESOLVED: That the Chairman of the Committee is authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee held on 8 July 2008.

51.1 9/13/541 Dinos, Churchland Lane, Sedlescombe. Modification to Section 106 to increase floor area by 40m2. No comment.
51.2 RR/2008/822/L Post Office, The Green, Sedlescombe. Installation of VSAT Satellite dish to south facing wall of building. Cllr Wright reported on her inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council objects to this proposal because it is a listed building in the heart of the Sedlescombe Conservation Area and it would be out of character with the area.
51.3 RR/2008/1886/P Bramlea, Balcombe Green, Sedlescombe. Demolition of sunroom, garage and outhouse. Erection of extensions. Cllr Rand reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this application.
51.4 RR/2008/1887/P Tudor Rose, The Street, Sedlescombe. Erection of side extension following removal of existing porch. Cllr Mitchell reported on her inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this application.
51.5 RR/2008/2085/P Barnes Farm, Poppinghole Lane, Robertsbridge. Overhead line - replacement of existing conductors with aerial bundled conductor. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this application.
51.6 RR/2008/2133/P Blackbrooks Garden Centre TN33 0RJ. Erection of extension for additional sales display area. Cllr Martin reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this application.

P08/09.53 Results for July 2008
53.1 RR/2008/953/P Pestalozzi International Village, Sedlescombe. Erection of polytunnel. Approved by Rother.
53.2 RR/2008/1188/P Beech Oasts, Hawkhurst Road, Sedlescombe. Erection of two-storey extension to south elevation. Refused by Rother. Because of mass, bulk, scale, materials and position of proposed extension, the development will create a demonstrable harmful impact on the visual amenity of the former agricultural building, rural setting and AONB.
53.3 RR/2008/1323/P Dinos, Churchland Lane, Sedlescombe. Extension. Approved by Rother District Council but see 51.1 above.
53.4 RR/2008/1529/P 4 Chapel Hill, Sedlescombe. Conservatory. Approved by Rother District Council.
53.5 RR/2008/893/P Pestalozzi Village. Climbing and abseiling tower. Cllr Ganly called in this application and it was subsequently considered by the Rother Planning Committee and a site visit was carried out. The Committee agreed that this application should be approved but only if the tower was moved closer to the buildings into a less prominent and exposed position that they had chosen. This would be a temporary permission until 31/10/08.
P08/09.54 Signs on the A21. It was agreed that the subject should be placed on the agenda of the Council Meeting on 9 September 2008.
