Sedlescombe Parish Council has requested that it is notified by Rother of all planning applications within Sedlescombe parish. Currently, Rother allows 21 days (legal requirement is 14 days) for comments and, if the Parish Council makes a comment within the due time, Rother must take the comment into account when determining the application.
Sedlescombe is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has a Conservation Area at its heart and a "development boundary" (see Local Plan for details of boundaries).
Parish Councillors inspect every site where there is a planning application in the parish prior to Planning Application Meetings.
