SEDLESCOMBE PUBLIC PLAYING FIELD & RECREATION GROUND TRUST

TRUST PURPOSES: Charity Commission Scheme, Charity Number 305305

To use 1.8 acres of land beside the river which make up the Public Playing Field and Recreation Ground for the provision and maintenance of a recreation ground or playing field for the benefit of the inhabitants of Sedlescombe and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions. The Council may provide, or assist in the provision of, on the trust property, such facilities for physical exercise and training, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation having the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants as the Council shall from time to time think fit. In addition, the Council can allow the land to be used for other purposes as long as the use does not substantially interfere with its recreational use. Under certain circumstances, the Council may be able to sell the land.

T11/12.21 To resolve That the Minutes of the Meeting of the Trust held on 13/09/11 are signed as a correct record.
T11/12.22 Finance

  1. To receive the bank reconciliation at the end of December 2011.
  2. To approve an invoice to the Parish Council requesting an additional £160 in order that Hedley's Bill can be settled for drawing up the Memorandum of Agreement and the prizewinning cheque paid.
T11/12.23 Registration of trust land with the Land Registry and Registration of rights of way over this land with East Sussex County Council in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 s(6). (Still to be done)
T11/12.24 Tennis Courts

  1. To draw a name in connection with the tennis court survey and to approve payment of £50 to the winning name.

  2. To consider tennis courts parish wide survey results and options regarding the future of the tennis courts. [See report]

  3. To agree that the Parish Council should be asked to allow for the cost of undertaking the following work in its 2012/13 Budget and Precept:.......................................

  4. To consider charging for future uses of the courts.
T11/12.25 To consider draft Memorandum of Agreement to allow Sedlescombe Parish Council to carry out management functions on behalf of the Charity.
