Minutes. RESOLVED: That the Chairman of the Committee is authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 11/12/07.

Sedlescombe Sportsfield Proposed Pavilion. Quotes had been invited for construction of a new pavilion at the Sportsfield in accordance with Plan No.2766/2/A and 2766/N/1/AConstruction Notes . The piling and slab will be quoted for separately from specialist companies. Cllr Rand hoped to be able to provide figures for the meeting on Thursday.
Three out of four contractors invited had replied and the sealed envelopes were opened by the Chairman. The contractors tendering are Martin Hawkins Building Limited., Southern Construction and Steed Construction Limited.
All were asked to include the following with their quotes:
Some information had been provided but, once the preferred contractor has been chosen by the Council, further enquiries will be made to ensure the company is able to meet the terms of the Council’s Health & Safety requirements.
The quotes received varied considerably and it was agreed that an evaluation should be carried out to compare prices. RESOLVED: That Wayne Glaze, Architect, should be asked if he would undertaken the analysis and present a report for the Finance Committee meeting on Thursday.
