As so often is the case it is matter of trying to close the door after the horse has bolted, but the following actions were taken :-
Notice in the Parish Magazine.
Notice in the window of the Post Office.
300 leaflets printed about half delivered by Sarah O’Shaugnessy
, some given to NHW co ordinators
for distribution. The remainder was delivered by Peter and ourselves
concentrating on the centre of the Village with some left at the
Reminders given out again concerning the
availability of shed alarms.
Security lights and rear
gates tampered with in Streetlands.
A rear gate at one property tampered with and security lights pushed upwards at two properties reported by NHW coordinator. Asked Peter to attend. Offered help.
Call
concerning unsolicited phone calls during the evening.
Lady living on her own phoned, as she was concerned by unwanted phone calls. Phoned her the following day with the details of the telephone preference service . To reassure her she was asked if she would like home security advice , Sarah O’Shaugnessy contacted. Peter and Ralph will call on the lady this week.

Hut.
We received reports that the door was kicked in on two separate occasions.

motorcycles reported.
Police attended very quickly one motor cycle confiscated.

walked with Peter in the Village this week.
Burglaries,
shed break ins and EVT kickabout area.
These subjects are well documented .
