The following should be read in conjunction with Alan Henderson's booklet (available from Sedlescombe Stores) "Hop Token Issuers and Their Tokens Volume Two. The information has been taken from a variety of sources which are detailed.

James Colman VIDLER described as yeoman of Mountfield	09/12/1847	Sedlescombe marr register - married Hesther CRISFORD (Sedlescombe bap register 05/12/1825, shown as Esther). Her family farmed Castlemans Farm, Church Hill, Sedlescombe.

Spencer FREELAND	30/04/1806	Sedlescombe bap register, son of Henry & Elizabeth FREELAND ie Spencer FREELAND was the younger brother of Henry FREELAND - see Homestall

Dates would therefore be 1775 to 1815. No other records in the records of the Parish Church as the FREELANDS were Wesleyan Methodists

The following WESTONS probably should be under Homestall, Sedlescombe instead of Buckhurst Farm

Robert WESTON & family	1871 Sed census	Living in what was probably Homestall or late Freelands – aged 33, this Robert WESTON was born in Penhurst and was probably not the son of Robert WESTON 1782-1866 whose children were baptised in Sedlescombe Church between 1803 and 1821 – may have been a nephew or other relative.
Robert WESTON – probably only lived at Homestall between 1866 and 1872	28/03/1872	Sedlescombe bur register, aged 38 (no bap in Sedlescombe records as born in Penhurst) – probably not the son of Robert WESTON 1782-1866. Could it have been this Robert WESTON who was at Buckhurst Farm, Westfield in 1862 before he moved to Homestall, Sedlescombe
