A21/B2244 junction. Following a local resident's complaint, the Parish Council has been trying to get the bollards repaired/replaced in Tollgate Road at the junction of the B2244 and A21. Unfortunately, neither East Sussex County Council nor the Highways Agency have been willing to accept that this is their responsibility, both saying it should be done by the other. At last, the Parish Council can report that, until the boundaries have been agreed by both parties, the County Council will maintain all four bollards. The repairs are expected to be done in the next few weeks.

Electrical and hazardous waste. Everyone should consider how they are disposing of electrical and hazardous waste. East Sussex County Council has a useful webpage.

This page includes the information that "if you break an energy saving bulb, open a window for 15 minutes, put the broken glass into a sealed plastic bag and take to your local household waste recycling site" such as Mountfield.
