A21 Whydown Hill Ground Investigations

The Highways Agency has written with the information that ground investigations will be taking place on the A21 at Whydown Hill in East Sussex. They will be carried out adjacent to the southbound A21 and will involve drilling and coring the ground to obtain soil samples.

On Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 December work will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am with a lane closure and temporary traffic lights in place on the southbound A21.

Work is weather dependent and therefore if the weather is bad work will be rescheduled.

A mechanical digger will be used for these works until midnight, when work of this nature will stop to minimise noise. We appreciate your co-operation throughout the scheme.

If you have any queries about the works or want to discuss them further, contact Highways Agency Customer Care Line on 0845 6000414.
