Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The Parish Council has contributed towards the cost of Sedlescombe Green WI providing tea, coffee and soft drinks at the Jubilee Picnic to be held on the Sportsfield between 3 and 8pm on Monday 4 June. In addition, the Council has had the "Welcome to Sedlescombe" panel reproduced for installation in the Brede Lane car park.

As a reminder, thirty five years ago, when the Queen's Silver Jubilee was celebrated in Sedlescombe, weather conditions were not kind. The children's tea had to be relocated to the Village Hall and the event on the sportsfield was a wash-out. Weather was kinder for the Village Fete that year.
