HOW TO ADVERTISE IN THE SEDLESCOMBE DIRECTORY 2012

Each year, Sedlescombe Parish Council publishes an Annual Report in the run-up to the Annual Parish Assembly (please note change of date for this year's meeting - 17/04/12l). Included with the Report is a Directory of local businesses together with contact details for Village organisations, societies, charities etc. and other useful information.

The annual timetable is as follows:

  • January - local businesses are invited to submit to The Parish Clerk adverts for inclusion in the Directory. Closing date 5pm Sunday 22 January 2012. Late adverts cannot usually be accommodated.

  • March - update to Business page of the www.sedlescombe.org.uk website with all Directory adverts which have been fully paid. The advert on the Business webpage can be bigger than in the written Directory subject to the Clerk's discretion. Adverts not in the current Directory will be removed from the webpage.

  • March/April - delivery of printed Report and Directory to every household in the parish of Sedlescombe by volunteers.

  • April 17th 2012 - Annual Assembly of the Parish Meeting of Sedlescombe. Tables available for businesses and organisations to advertise themselves. Contact the Clerk (01424 870508) for further details. No charge.

  • Remainder of the year - Report and Directory delivered to any household recently moved into the parish. Spare copies of the Report and Directory left in Sedlescombe Stores and Village Hall. New businesses can advertise on the website free of charge but will be expected to pay for a Directory entry the following year.

Following are the arrangements for the 2012 Directory:

  • Size of business advert - 60mm (high) x 50mm (wide) (black and white only). No larger advertising space available.
  • Please specify a short heading under which you would like your advert to be placed.
  • Cost - at least £21/advert including VAT of £3.50. The money is used to pay for the printing of the Reports/Directory.
  • Cheques - made payable to "Sedlescombe Parish Council". A receipted invoice will be supplied.
  • Details of the advert can either be sent to The Parish Clerk at Woodland Cottage, Chapel Hill, Sedlescombe TN33 0QX or e-mailed to sedlescombe@freezone.co.uk.
