MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY 11 JULY 2006 IN COMMITTEE ROOM 1 OF SEDLESCOMBE VILLAGE HALL 19:30-20:00

P06/07.27 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.  None.

P06/07.28 MINUTES.  The Chairman was authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 04/07/06.

P06/07.29 INTERESTS.  Members were reminded to disclose interests as they arose.  None disclosed.

 P06/07.30 PLANNING APPLICATIONS

30.1 RR/2006/1742/P and 1743/L The Post Office, The Green, Sedlescombe.  Installation of windows and door. Cllr Foord reported on his inspection.  RESOLVED:  That the Parish Council supports approval.

 30.2 RR/2006/1793/P Poppinghole Farm, Poppinghole Lane, Robertsbridge.  Erection of single storey extensions.  Cllr Martin reported on his inspection.  RESOLVED:  That the Parish Council supports approval.

 30.3  RR/2006/1811/P Whydown Farm Caravan Park, Crazy Lane, Sedlescombe.  Erection of extension to improve toilet and washing facilities for touring visitors.  Cllr Rand reported on his inspection.  RESOLVED:  That the Parish Council supports approval.  The Clerk will write to the owner of the Caravan Park asking him to advertise the tennis courts on the site.

P06/07.31 PLANS FOR ERECTION OF A SHED AT SEDLESCOMBE VILLAGE HALL FOR THE PLAYGROUP.  The Parish Council has already agreed in principle to submit the planning application on behalf of the Sedlescombe Playgroup.  RESOLVED:  That the plans as amended are approved for submission by the Playgroup.

P06/07.32 RESULTS.  None reported.

P06/07.33 UPDATE.  The Clerk reported as follows on matters considered at previous meetings:
33.1  Spilsteads Airstrip.  Complaints about take-offs contrary to the protocol had been submitted to the Enforcement Officer at Rother.  He had inspected the logbook on the airstrip but had found no record of the relevant take-offs.   Whatlington Parish Council had agreed to note details of these take-offs as well.  Cllr Mrs Wright will inform members of the Spilstead Action Group committee.

33.2 Brickwall Hotel signs on A21.  The Planning Officer had written to Mr Pollio asking him to reply urgently regarding the signs on the A21 which will have to be removed. 

33.3 Pestalozzi plans.  Detailed plans are expected to be available at the start of September.  The Committee was invited to a short presentation at the Pestalozzi International Village on 5th or 12th September.  Arrangements to be made for the Committee to visit Pestalozzi on 5th September at 19:15.
