FINANCE COMMITTEE AGENDA

A MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE OF SEDLESCOMBE PARISH COUNCIL IS TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY 28 AUGUST 2007 IN COMMITTEE ROOM 2 OF SEDLESCOMBE VILLAGE HALL AT 19:00. MEMBERS ARE REQUESTED TO ATTEND AND TAKE PART IN THE BUSINESS TO BE TRANSACTED

F07/08.4 Members of the public are invited to speak on specific matters on the agenda. In accordance with Paragraph 12(2) of the Code of Conduct 2007, prejudiced parish councillors are also invited to speak on specific matters on the agenda.

F07/08.5 To receive apologies for absence.

F07/08.6 To authorise the Chairman to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 26/06/07.

F07/08.7 To receive members' declarations of interest under the Code of Conduct 2007.

F07/08.8 To Resolve: That the following paper transactions are made in accordance with the Budget:

  1. Transfer £1020 from General Funds to Clerk's Gratuity Fund to make £26,520.

  2. Transfer £725 from General Funds to Tennis Courts Fund to make £5,000.

F07/08.9 Sportsfield Fund. To receive current details (see attached Appendix 1).

F07/08.10 To Resolve: That two new accounts are opened as follows:

  1. Bank of Scotland Community Guaranteed 1-year Fixed Deposit Account (current interest rate 6.21%) for the Clerk's Gratuity Fund. To authorise transfer of £26,520 into new account.

  2. Barclays Bank Everyday Saver Account (current interest rate 3.35%) for the Sportsfield Fund - the Clerk/RFO has opened this account - no deposit required or made. To authorise transfer of £16,735 into new account at the end September/beginning of October (depending on precept deposit from Rother).

F07/08.11 To approve transfers between accounts (see attached Appendix 2)

F07/08.12 To receive pavilion update as detailed in

  1. Pavilion Working Group Notes of 16/07/07

  2. Pavilion Funding Working Group notes of 14/08/07

F07/08.13 Funding applications. It has been agreed by the Council that applications for funding should be approved by the Council/Finance Committee before submission to the relevant body. The Funding Group has been investigating funding opportunities and these are summarised below. Committee to consider and approve:

Madeline Gorman of Rother has informed the Clerk that, if approved by officers, recommendations will be made to Cabinet on 29/10. Final outcome 05/11/07. [PR] For retrospective approval

Battle Partnership Forms obtained for submission for £2,000 maximum grant. [PR] For approval to submit

Reaching Communities Lottery Funding Pre-application form submitted for £50,000. Refused. Re-submitted. [VW] For approval to submit application if pre-submission succeeds
