P07/08.59 Apology for absence was received from Cllr Cameron (holiday).

P07/08.60 Interests. No interests declared.

P07/08.61 Public Participation. No public present.

P07/08.62 Minutes. RESOLVED: That the Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 02/10/07 are approved.

P07/08.63 Matters arising from previous Minutes

63.1 Land at Paygate Road. On 10/10/07, Rother District Council issued a notice removing certain permitted development rights from land at Paygate Road, Sedlescombe.

63.2 Fence at Park Shaw. The Council had been informed by Rother Enforcement Officer that the new fence at Park Shaw needs planning approval and that an application has been requested.

63.3 Smoking shelter at Queen's Head. The Council had been informed by Rother Enforcement Officer that the new smoking shelter at the Queen's Head needs planning approval and that an application has been requested.

64.4 Training. Members were invited to attend a Rother Planning Seminar to be held on Wednesday 14 November in Brede Village Hall, 18:45 to 21:15

P07/08.64 Planning Applications

64.1 RR/2007/2711/P Sandrock, Sandrock Hill, Sedlescombe. Construction of outbuilding replacing previously demolished outbuilding (retrospective application). Cllr Martin reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports the proposal.

64.2 RR/2007/2810/T 27 Gorselands, Sedlescombe. Remove lower branch of one oak tree. Cllr Martin reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports the proposal.

64.3 RR/2007/2839/P The Old Barn, Hawkhurst Road, Sedlescombe. Erection of a single storey utility room extension to the side of the property. NB This is an amendment to the approved application No.RR/2007/1559/P. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports the proposal.

Regarding development at Marley Lane Business Park, the Clerk reported that Rother's Cabinet has the issue of the Marley Lane Road Junction improvement on its 29/10/07 agenda. The Highways Agency (responsible authority) has obtained a cost estimate from Interroute of £755,500 which considerably exceeds reasonable expectations and leaves a significant funding shortfall. The Cabinet will consider whether, should no alternative approach for funding be available, Rother District Council should contribute to the funding gap of up to £205,500 (to be met from the proceeds of Blackfriars) and East Sussex County Council are approached to contribute towards this on a match funding basis.
