P08/09.27 Monitoring of planning applications in Hastings and Rother. At the Annual Parish Assembly in April 2008, County Councillor Peter Jones had proposed that the Parish Council should monitor planning applications from Hastings as well as Rother in order to be able to comment on the movement of spoil to and from sites.

On consideration, the Committee decided that letters should be sent to Rother DC and Hastings BC and to the Environment Agency to see whether these bodies would be willing to inform the Parish Council when spoil is likely to be transported through Sedlescombe to or from a site. This would give the Parish Council the opportunity to comment.
