CS08/09.14 To review the situation regarding matters raised by the public during the 2007 Autumn Parish Plan Survey:
  1. Concerns about anti-social behaviour.
  2. Concerns about vandalism.
  3. Concerns about harassment from youngsters
  4. Petty garden theft.
  5. More effective Police cover wanted, not PCSOs - described as "useless".
  6. Wants to see more of the PCSO around the Village.
  7. Haven't heard anything useful achieved by PCSOs. Has the Parish council complained?
  8. Wants to see police in the village, especially in dark evenings to protect against antics of youths and burglars.
  9. Parking on path outside Springfield Cottage, Brede Lane.
  10. Parking at School when there is room in the car park.
  11. Parking outside doctors' surgery when there is room in the car park.
  12. Parking on grass verge at Park Shaw when taking children to school.
  13. Parking in the layby and on the road outside Meadowside & Roselands as not enough parking space for Roselands.
  14. Parking outside Clockhouse.
  15. Parking outside Brickwall Hotel.
  16. Parking outside pub.
  17. Parking by coaches on corners opposite The Brickwall.
  18. Parking opposite the garage restricts sightings of oncoming vehicles.
  19. Long-term parking outside shop where short-term parking is wanted to enable less mobile to park.
  20. Speed of vehicles through the Village (30mph limit).
  21. Speed of vehicles in Brede Lane (30mph limit).
  22. Speed of vehicles in the lanes (60mph limit).
  23. Speed of vehicles in Hawkhurst Road (60mph limit).
  24. Speed of vehicles in Crazy Lane where it is increasingly used as a rat run to and from the A21 and vehicles travel at an increasing speed from Westfield and pay no attention to SLOW painted on the road or the junction sign at the top of Chapel Hill (60mph limit).
  25. Speed of vehicles in The Green, particularly young mums using it as an escape onto The Street - even people in wheelchairs are not immune from the impatience of some drivers (30mph limit).

  27. Speed of vehicles at the A21 near junction with B2244 (60mph limit).
  28. Concerns about speed and noise of motorcycles.
  29. Concerns about very noisy cars.
CS08/09.15 To note that Inspector Keating, formerly the inspector for the rural part of the district, has taken over sole responsibility for setting up neighbourhood panels and for all matters relating to community policing both in the rural area and Bexhill (information from District Commander's Report, May 2008).
