Chairman. RESOLVED: That Cllr Martin be Chairman of the Planning Committee for the ensuing year.

Arising from previous Minutes

 

Budget Car Company. In accordance with the Committee's wishes, the Clerk had written to Rother Enforcement asking that the use of the land is brought into line with the Plans and Planning Approval of Application RR.80.2363. A meeting of the proprietor, his Planning Agent, Nick May of Planning Enforcement and Ken Walker of East Sussex Highways had taken place on 24/05/10 at which it had been agreed that the County Council would mark the highway boundary of the site over which the cars must not be driven. The proprietor had agreed not to display vehicles for sale on the highway. Other matters were still being pursued.

Appeal

 

RR/2010/12/P The Budget Car Company, The Street, Sedlescombe. Erection of storm port on the existing car sales area (part retrospective by virtue of design changes). An appeal has been lodged against Rother District Council's refusal of this planning application. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council should write in support of Rother District Council's refusal of application RR/2010/12/P which, if it were to be approved, could encourage other inappropriate development in the Sedlescombe Conservation Area.

Planning Applications

RR/2010/1099/P 39 Gorselands, Sedlescombe TN33 0PT. Proposed loft conversion with dormers and conversion of garage to habitable accommodation. Cllr Mitchell reported on her inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this proposal which will be in keeping with the existing dwelling in terms of size, style, design and materials. The amenities of neighbouring properties, which are already two-storey houses, will be protected in accordance with Policy HG8 of the Local Plan.

  1. RR/2010/529/P and RR/2010/530/L, The Cottage, The Street, Sedlescombe. Proposed conversion of part of existing garage to form annexe to be used in conjunction with cottage. Approved.
  2. RR/2010/664/P, 4 Compass Cottages, Compasses Lane, Cripps Corner. First floor extension containing bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Approved.
