E11/12.10 Apologies and reasons for absence. None, all present.
E11/12.11

Disclosures of personal and prejudicial interests from Councillors on matters to be considered at the meeting in accordance with the adopted Code of Conduct 2007. None.

E11/12.12 Public participation. No public present.
E11/12.13 Minutes. RESOLVED: That the Chairman of the Committee is authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Emergency Planning Committee held on 28/06/11.
E11/12.14 Arising from previous Minutes
14.1 Emergency Packs in the Village Hall. None.
14.2 Lists of vulnerable people. Members were reminded to pass on names of vulnerable people to Cllr Martin.

Volunteers, tear-off slip. The Clerk would arrange for requests for volunteers who could be called on in an emergency to be sent out to residents.

 

Members discussed replacements for those names in Sedlescombe's Emergency Plan who are no longer available. Details of the County Council "Emergency contact details and help lines will be provided for Emergency Response Wardens for the various areas of the Village.

E11/12.15 Preparations for the following emergency situations that could occur in Sedlescombe.
15.1 Floods. The Environment Agency maintains a free flood warning service which can give advance notice of when flooding from rivers is likely to happen. They also have produced a guide for householders and small businesses on preparing a property for flooding. Details to be included in the Sedlescombe News.
15.2 Snow. East Sussex County Council has issued a comprehensive guide. A link has been sent to parish councillors. The Parish Council has a winter maintenance policy which is on the Council's website.
15.3 High Winds. Action to be based on the severity of the incident.
