Planning Applications

138.1

RR/2012/293/P 7 Blacklands, Sedlescombe TN33 0PU. Proposed extensions and new vehicle access. Cllr Mitchell reported on her inspection.

RESOLVED: That the Parish Council objects to the application because approval of the proposed extension would be contrary to Policies GD1(ii), GD1(iv) and HG8 as the building would unreasonably harm the amenities of adjoining properties because of its size and closeness to the boundary and would not respect the character and appearance of the locality.

P11/12.140

Results. Approval of RR/2011/2499/P, Tamar, The Street, Sedlescombe; demolition of outbuilding and construction of a single storey residential annexe was noted.

P11/12.141 Crazy Lane Caravan Park car business. Rother's Enforcement Officer has visited the site but, because the vehicles are at the rear of the house, had not seen any unauthorised business operation. The Enforcement Officer requires details of the types of vehicles, times when repairs usually occur and if any of them are advertised anywhere.
P11/12.142 LWA Bodyshop paintshop. A copy of an e-mail to the Enforcement Officer from a near neighbour had been sent to the Parish Council. The e-mail was chasing up further action in connection with removal of the new paintshop. It was alleged that the chimney has continued to be in regular operation.
P11/12.143 Rear of Bridge Garage, new chimney flue. Following receipt of a complaint from a resident regarding the new silver chimney flue which has been erected on residential property at the rear of the Bridge Garage, the Clerk had spoken to the owner. The building is within the Sedlescombe Conservation Area and adjacent to a public footpath. Subsequently, the owner had given assurances that he is in contact with the Rother Planning Department.
P11/12.144 Rubble in Churchlands Lane. Cllr Reynolds informed the Committee that a large amount of rubble has been dumped in Churchland Lane. No action as private lane.
