P12/13.2 To receive apologies and reasons for absence.

To receive disclosures of personal and prejudicial interests from Councillors on matters to be considered at the meeting.

P12/13.4 Public participation session. Chairman to ask any members of the public whether they wish to make representation, answer questions or give evidence with regard to items on the agenda. At the Chairman's discretion, the public will be allowed to make their representations etc. The Chairman should inform the public that their names will be recorded and representations etc. minuted.
P12/13.5 Minutes. To Resolve: That the Chairman of the Committee is authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee held on 27/03/12.

6.1 RR/2012/716P East View Terrace - garages to rear of, Sedlescombe. Demolition of existing garages and erection of No. flats (in a single block), 4 No.2 bedroom semi-detached houses and 1 No.2 bedroom wheelchair adaptable bungalow. (JV to report)
6.2 RR/2012/735/P Chittlebirch Oast, Cripps Corner - relocation of vehicular entrance. (JR to report)
6.3 RR/2012/741/P 7 Blacklands, Sedlescombe - single storey rear and side extension, together with new vehicle access. (JM to report)
6.4 RR/2012/749/P Brickwall Hotel - land adj, The Green, Sedlescombe TN33 0QA. Renewal of outline planning permission for new bungalow to land adjacent The Brickwall Hotel. (PG to report)
6.5 RR/2012/787/T Harriet House, The Green, Sedlescombe. 4 conifers (C1, C2, C3 and C4) - fell because of close proximity to this and neighbouring property causing damage to drains and drive and excessive shading and low amenity value. (JR to report)
6.6 RR/2012/824/P Pine View, Balcombe Green, Sedlescombe TN33 0QL. Proposed extension. (JM to report)
6.7 RR/2012/729/P Sedlescombe Sportsfield. Extension of car park. To note that there was a delay in the submission of this application because of a requirement for a Heritage Asset Statement to be included because of the Sportsfield's situation in an "Archaeological Notification Area" defining an important and extensive Roman industrial site. The Assistant County Archaeologist has agreed to the attachment of a condition which will, if agreed by Rother DC, mean an additional cost will be incurred.
P12/13/7 To note that "no comment" has been forwarded for the following applications:
7.1 RR/2012/666/P and RR/2012/667/L Barnes Farm, Poppinghole Lane, Robertsbridge. Demolition of agricultural storage building and conversion of redundant dairy building to 3-bed dwelling with associated parking and landscaping.
P12/13.7 RR/2011/279/L, 1 Manor Cottages, The Street, Sedlescombe. To note the Clerk's reply to the letter received regarding this Committee's approach to the planning application.

P12/13.12 National Planning Policy Framework. To note that the new National Planning Policy Framework has been published. Action with Communities in Rural England has published a summary.
P12/13.13 Pre-application Planning Advice. To note that Rother District Council is introducing a range of charges for pre-application advice, permitted development enquiries and general requests for planning information. The charges would be based on £48 including VAT per house per officer which reflects the cost of providing the service started from 01/05/12 for information requests and permitted development enquiries etc and from July/August for the pre-application advice service. Rother Planning Committee has confirmed that enquiries from Parish, Town, District or ESCC will remain exempt from charges.
