108 INTERESTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 2012 CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. Cllr Eldridge declared his pecuniary interest in Agenda item 111(1) as the applicant is his son. (Para 15 of the Code of Conduct 2012)
  2. Cllr Parsons declared his pecuniary interest in Agenda item 111(4) as he is the applicant. (Para 11 of the Code of Conduct 2012)

110 MINUTES. RESOLVED: That the Chairman of the Committee is authorised to sign the Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 25/02/14.

111 PLANNING APPLICATIONS

  1. RR/2014/625/P Cherryburn, Balcombe Green, Sedlescombe TN33 0QL. New roof to existing conservatory; erection of new conservatory and internal alterations. Cllr Eldridge declared his pecuniary interest and left the meeting during discussions. Cllr Glew reported on her inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports this application.
  2. RR/2014/635/P and RR/204/636/L Harriet House, The Green, Sedlescombe TN33 0QA. Proposed demolition of outbuilding and erection of Garden Room and associated External Works. Cllr Eldridge reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports this application.
  3. RR/2014/798/P Marley Lane Business Park, Marley Lane, Sedlescombe. Change of use from B1(business)/B8 (storage and distribution) uses to B2 (general industrial) use. Cllr Chapman reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports this application but adds that the B2 use should be limited to this one unit and not spread across the site. Although this is a better site for this Company to operate from, the doors of the unit should be kept shut during noisy operations. Hours of working should be specified and limited. Waste arrangements need to be made and it should be noted that the site can be seen from the road (see application form).
  4. RR/2014/815/P The Candles, Battle Road, Staplecross TN32 5QU. Proposed garage. Cllr Parsons declared his pecuniary interest and left the meeting. RESOLVED: That, as the applicant is a parish councillor, no comment would be made.
  5. RR/2014/693/L The Cottage, The Street, Sedlescombe. Internal alterations to remove wall stub and insert wall to first floor (retrospective). Cllr Eldridge reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports this application.
  6. RR/2014/794/P The Dene, Hurst Lane, Sedlescombe. Double garage and store with ancillary home office above. Cllr Reynolds reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council objects to the proposed development as the building will be too large and dominant in the street scene and not in keeping with the existing cottages.
  7. RR/2014/59/P Oakleigh, Hurst Lane, Sedlescombe. Side extension at ground and first floors. Cllr Reynolds reported on his inspection. RESOLVED: That the Parish Council supports approval of this application.

  2. RR/2014/367/TN Land opposite Asselton, The Green, Sedlescombe. Installation of new 11 metre BT pole (9m out of the ground). Applicant advised that planning permission is required.
  3. RR/2014/419/L Little Swailes Green Farmhouse. Staircase to new first floor bedroom and bathroom. Approved with conditions.
  4. RR/2013/2465/P Great Sanders Fruit Farm. Agricultural dwelling. Approved with conditions.
