42 Planning Application

  1. RR/2014/2004/P Cranfield, Balcombe Green, Sedlescombe
    Two storey extension and alterations with integral garage / workshop
    RESOLVED: That the Parish Council has no objections to this planning proposal.

43 CURRENT APPEALS

  1. APPEAL NO. 2264 - RR/2014/147/P Brede Lane - land at, Sedlescombe.
    The erection of 18no. residential dwellings with associated access, car park parking and open space together with the transfer and change of use of land to be used as school playing fields.
    Cllr. Vine-hall reported that the appeal hearing is due to take place on 4th November 2014 at Rother DC, Town Hall, Bexhill-on-Sea.
  2. APPEAL NO. 2274 - RR/2012/2398/P Spilsted Farm, Stream Lane, Sedlescombe
    Remodel land to improve visibility on airstrip, including new temporary access for construction traffic
  3. APPEAL NO. 2279 - RR/2014/1017/P By the Way, Sandrock Hill,, Sedlescombe. Conversion of workshop/studio building to provide self-contained
    Holiday let and ancillary living accommodation (partly retrospective for
    renovation works)

  1. RR/2014/1341/P Pestalozzi Village, Ladybird Lane, Sedlescombe
    Variation of conditions 4, 10, 13, 15, 16 & 20 of RR/2007/397/P to allow phasing of development.
    APPROVED CONDITIONAL. Summary: The development shall not proceed other than in accordance with with conditions 4, 10, 13, 15, 16 & 20 (as varied by the permission and set out in the decision notice) and conditions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18 and 19 imposed on planning permission RR/2007/397/P dated 8 January 2008, which remain in full force and effect. All planting shall be carried out in accordance with the proposed details and times. A water surface regulation system shall be implemented prior to the construction of any impermeable surfaces draining to the system.
  2. RR/2014/1961/TN Barnes Farm, Poppinghole Lane, Robertsbridge TN32 5BN
    To erect 1x10m wood pole 8.2m above ground for BT/Openreach.
    APPROVAL NOT REQUIRED. Summary. Under exercise of his delegated authority on behalf of RDC, the Service Manager has determined that formal approval is not required for this development. RDC asked that the new pole to be located at this site shall be removed from the land on which it is situated within 6 months of the cessation of its use for telecommunication purposes.
  3. RR/2014/1519/P Meadowview Caravan Park, Crazy Lane, Sedlescombe
    The siting of an additional 20 static caravans from 14th January to 30 November each year on existing caravan and camping site
    APPLICATION HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN
  4. RR/2014/1798/P Castlemans Oast, Church Hill, Sedlescombe
    Porch Canopy to front elevation of domestic dwelling house
    APPROVED CONDITIONAL: Summary. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the amended drawing. Materials and joinery to be used in the construction of the external surfaces shall match in materials, colour and texture to those used in the existing building.
  5. RR/2014/1516/O Ivy Cottage, Pine View, Balcombe Green
    Certificate of Existing Lawful Use & Development - Independent & self contained C3 residential use & occupation of Ivy Cottage together with its own separate residential curtilage comprising access, parking & amenity space
    LAWFUL DC REFUSED: Summary. Ivy Cottage has not been in use as a dwelling house for the last four years and the the land has not been used for the stationing of an independent residential caravan for the last 10 years.

45 CORE STRATEGY / PLANNING TRAINING

  1. Training requirements on the modified core strategy and updated planning policies.
    The annual Parish/Town Council Planning Seminar held by Rother DC at Bexhill Town Hall will be coming up in October. All Members of the planning committee would be put forward to attend - subject to their availability.
