Information available from Sedlescombe Parish Council under the model publication scheme 2009

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR HANDLING REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION

Sedlescombe Parish Council's procedures for handling requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2002 are as follows:

1. All requests for electronic information, not included in the adopted 2009 Publication Scheme, should be sent to The Clerk/RFO at sedlescombe@freezone.co.uk. The Clerk/RFO will respond to the applicant in writing as soon as possible informing him/her whether the information is available. If the information is available, it will be provided promptly, but not later than 20 working days after receipt of the request.

2. All requests for hard copies of information will be provided (if available) promptly, but not later than 20 working days after receipt of the request. A charge to cover the cost of copying and 2nd class postage will be made on the applicant in accordance with the current Schedule of Charges.

3. In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, the publication scheme will be reviewed from time to time.

4. Sedlescombe Parish Council has adopted a Complaints Procedure, which should be used to make complaints regarding the non-availability of information included in the publication scheme. Paragraph 7 of the Complaints Procedure is relevant.
